Durga Puja holidays with no commute hassle

One of Bengali Hindu people’s biggest festivals, Durga Puja, is knocking at the door. Durga Puja is an annual Hindu festival and government holiday celebrated throughout the country, with people participating from all classes and occupations.

It celebrates the divine force “Shakti” embodied in Goddess Durga. With the immersion of Durga idols on 13 October, the celebration will end for the year.

This year’s puja celebration is expected to be celebrated with an extended holiday as people are preparing for a consecutive three-day holiday ending at the Bijoya Dashami.

People will travel to all parts of the country to their loved ones to celebrate this festival together.

The tourist spots are also preparing for the guests who are planning holidays during this vacation. To make this celebration hassle-free and relieve you from the stress of travel planning, Bangladesh’s leading ride-sharing platform Uber, can be a one-stop solution for the intro and intercity travel.

The biggest attraction of Durga Puja is certainly the puja Mandaps across the country. These Puja mandaps are designed in different themes to express various themes, including contemporary and classical phenomena.

The art and design language of each Puja Mandap and the festive fairs around it are the reasons people travel from places to enjoy them. Especially for devotees who want to visit several puja mandaps a day and enjoy their festival, Uber offers a convenient, time-saving alternative that allows you to make the most of your day.

According to Kapalika Dorshon, a resident of Kalanagan, who expressed her priorities on visiting numerous mandaps, “As a Dhaka resident, enjoying old Dhaka Durga puja vibes attracts me a lot.

Then there are also newer Dhaka puja arrangements that have stepped up, like the Durga puja of Banani and the Durga puja of Uttara. With a larger group of friends, visiting all the mandaps within one night was possible courtesy of diverse Uber services, like Uber X and Uber XL.”

Anjan Roy, a senior citizen and retired government employee, emphasizes the convenience factor of travelling through Uber: “In a city of inadequate public transport, commuting through Uber is the last resort for senior citizens like us to meet old friends and also the mandaps during puja.”

People travelling out of Dhaka to their loved ones also finds convenience in services like Uber Intercity as they don’t have to take the hassle to traveling to bus stops and arranging bus ticket during this time of festival scarcity.

An extremely useful feature of this service is a user can pre-book their car to be picked up at a specific date and location. This feature has allowed service users a lot of time and stress while thinking of travelling to the people who matter during this vacation.

As this year’s Durga Puja is coming with an extended three-day holiday, including Friday and Saturday, trips towards favourite tourist destinations are already on the table for many family and friends groups. Making everyone’s plan successful, Uber rental and intercity can be convenient for touring groups.

Uber has been extremely popular among users, especially for comparatively shorter trips, like visiting resorts near Dhaka.

A software engineer, Abrar Ahmed, discusses his planned trip: “I am planning to visit a resort with my wife and a toddler during this Durga puja holiday. Uber seems to be the most practical option regarding safety, convenience, and comfort.”

Any festival only gets its true colour through celebrations and connectivity among the people who are celebrating.

Uber has always been a true friend for people regarding convenience and connectivity. This Durga puja will be no exception, as Uber is here to make the festival colourful and enjoyable than ever.
