Shadman-Najmul both miss fifties

Test team regulars Shadman Islam and Najmul Hossain Shanto both missed out on half-centuries by a close margin in their second innings for Bangladesh A team against the High-Performance team at Chattogram.

The A team ended day three on 258-4 in 79 overs after the HP team failed to add any run with their overnight score of 237 on Friday morning as they lost the remaining two wickets quickly.

Shadman was out on 49 by giving a return catch to Tanvir Islam whereas, Najmul was judged LBW against the same bowler when he was on 47. Left-arm spinner Rakibul Hasan took five wickets.

Test captain Mominul Haque scored 30 runs before getting out by giving a catch to Rishad Hossain against the bowling of Rejaur Rahman.

Yasir Ali was unbeaten on 46 runs, and Irfan Shukkur was on 65*. A team now leads by 258 runs. – TBP
