Fire at Square pharma factory under control after 7hrs

A fire that broke out at the factory of Square Pharmaceuticals Limited at Kaliakair upazila in Gazipur on Monday afternoon, has been brought under control after seven hours of efforts.

No casualties were reported in the incident.

Firefighters were alerted to the blaze around 12:20pm, according to the media cell of the Fire Service and Civil Defence.

Nineteen firefighting units rushed to the spot and tamed the blaze at 7:38pm, it added.

The cause of the fire could not be known immediately.
