Sirat Jahan Shopna, who played a major role in Bangladesh winning the SAFF Championship, announced her retirement on Facebook Friday afternoon.
Shopna was the second-highest goal-scorer in SAFF Championship last year as she had scored four goals for Bangladesh Women’s Team.
The Bashundhara forward showed promise in her performance throughout the years and was supposed to strengthen the Bangladesh forward line but her unexpected early retirement has shocked the fans.
“I have decided to retire from professional football,” Shopna posted on Facebook.
