The Popular Life Insurance Company has approved a 40 per cent cash dividend for its shareholders for the year ended on December 31, 2020.
The approval came at the company’s 21st Annual General Meeting (AGM) held virtually on Tuesday.
The share price of the insurance company stood at Tk 95.5 at the Dhaka Stock Exchange on Tuesday, which was 0.42 per cent higher than that of the previous day.
Except for FY19, the company has been providing 40 per cent cash dividend to the shareholders since 2015.
Md Motaher Hussain, chairman of the company’s board of directors, presided over the AGM.
Among others, Directors Hasan Ahmed, Engineer MA Taher, Begum Nurjahan Ahmed, Kabir Ahmed, Begum Farzana Jahan Ahmed, Mohammad Amir Hossain Chowdhury and Mohammad Zahirul Islam Chowdhury attended the meeting.
