Pragati Insurance approves 30% cash dividend

The Pragati Insurance Limited has approved a 30 per cent cash dividend for its shareholders for the year ended on December 31, 2020.

The approval came at the 35th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the non-life insurance company held virtually on Thursday, read a press release.

Pragati Life Chairman Syed M Altaf Hussain presided over the meeting, with Vice Chairman Tabith Mohammed Awal, Director Abdul Awal Mintoo, other directors, senior officials and shareholders joining it remotely. In 2020, the company earned a gross premium of Tk 221 crore, while its profit before tax stood at Tk 36.53 crore.
