Most sectors led by NBFIs, engineering and IT ended higher on Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) on Thursday.
At the end of the trade, the benchmark DESX index gained 50.48 points or 0.79 per cent to 6,424.

The Shariah-based DSES index added 11.76 points or 0.84 per cent to 1,401. Meanwhile, the blue-chip index DS30 rose 25.39 points or 1.10 per cent to 2,327.
The DSE turnover stood at Tk 102 crore.

Of the issues traded, 198 advanced, 135 declined, and 48 remained unchanged.
