Asif Mahmud, one of the key coordinators of Boishommo Birodhi Chhatra Andolon, has called upon everyone to gather at the capital’s Central Shaheed Minar by 11am on Monday to implement the “Long March to Dhaka” programme.
Asif wrote this plan for Monday's programme in a Facebook post, adding that the protestors from Dhaka and the people who came to the city by long march will take up positions at the predetermined points from 11am. Everyone will gather at the Shaheed Minar.
He further stated, “We will go to Shahbagh with a procession from Shaheed Minar, the central assembly will be held in Shahbagh. Considering the situation, the final announcement will be made from there. That announcement will be delivered to the predetermined points.
“We will implement the decision in a well-organised manner. I urge you to refrain from taking decisions in isolation until there is an announcement.”
Protesters – under the banner of Boishommo Birodhi Chhatra Andolon – are scheduled to hold a rally in the capital under the title of “Long March to Dhaka.”
