LafargeHolcim’s profit grows by 98pc

LafargeHolcim Bangladesh’s net profit rose by 98 per cent to Tk 1,03.5 crore from 52.2crore during the first quarter of 2021.

According to the unaudited financial statement, during January-March of 2021 the company earned Tk 1,03.5 crore, 98 per cent up compared to Tk 52.2core in the same period of last year.

Meanwhile, the company recorded a 23 per cent growth in net sales to Tk 631.8crore during Q1, which was Tk 512.8 crore last year.

The Earning Per Share (EPS) of the company was Tk0.89, up from Tk 0.45.

Rajesh K Surana, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Company said, “We have continued the journey of strong performance with a clear focus on innovation and sustainability,” he said.

Rajesh said that the company’s new water repellent cement and the new business channel “direct to retail” have got off to a solid start, terming it another manifest to its continued endeavour in serving the customers better.
